South Australians are being urged to "Share With Us".

A significant piece of statewide consultation is being launched next week when the Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence’s Share With Us online tool goes live.

The survey is open to all South Australians, and is an opportunity to share insights and experiences with Commissioner Natasha Stott Despoja AO.

The information provided is anonymous and will be used to guide the Commission’s inquiry and its recommendations.

Commissioner Stott Despoja said all information would help build the bigger picture for the Royal Commission, including developing focus areas and themes for upcoming public hearings.

Respondents can fill out the questionnaire, an add text or upload an audio file, via the Commission’s website or QR code. Share With Us is being translated into more than a dozen languages, including Pitjantjatjara, Arabic, Vietnamese and Swahili.

“Share With Us is one of the significant ways that South Australians can share their advice and ideas with me, and can help me develop a deeper understanding of the domestic, family and sexual violence systems in South Australia, and the gaps that exist,” she said.

“You may be a victim-survivor, someone experiencing domestic, family or sexual violence or supporting someone who has. You may also work or volunteer in the sector – all of the insights and information will help us with our work, and adds to the information we have already been receiving from our regional visits, listening sessions, meetings with the sector and agencies, hearing from people with lived experiences, and from our site visits.

“It all helps build a very solid picture of what we need to focus on for our upcoming public hearings, and more broadly, what shape our final recommendations might take next year.”

A link to the survey will be available from 9am on Tuesday, 8 October via this website.
